Since the Donation page went live on December 16, 2003, CLL Topics has received a total of $310,828.34 from 555 donors.
Most of the funds raised by CLL Topics are dedicated to clinical research in CLL. We have funded or committed to fund three clinical trials and more are in evaluation or under discussion. The first project we have chosen to fund was a clinical trial of the green tea extract, EGCG, as a therapeutic agent in CLL, conducted by the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, followed by a trial involving low-dose Rituxan at the University of Virginia and one involving the use of immune modulators in improving the efficacy of influenza vaccination at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital in the UK. We are in discussions with investigators at various other institutions regarding their research opportunities and have selected additional investigations that may receive grant support from CLL Topics. Your donations will enable us to offer critical support for these projects.
