You Have Been Terrific in Supporting Our EffortsIt is not an expensive business to keep CLL Topics running as an online publication dedicated to patient education. During our early years these costs were privately funded by our founders. However, through your tax deductible contributions we have gained the ability to support high priority clinical research and to direct it in ways that will reflect the preferences of the CLL patient community. Our services are free and we will do our best to keep it that way. You can benefit from our services whether you contribute or not. However, if you choose to support our efforts with your voluntary donations, we can achieve more. With your help we can influence the choices patients may have in the future. Most of the funds raised by CLL Topics go to support clinical research in CLL. You can read about the projects we have sponsored in Sponsored Projects and about our philosophy in supporting clinical trials in Sponsorship Philosophy. We have other high priority projects lined up and the funds we have raised so far will help get them moving. |
We have reached our fundraising goals for the year and as of June 30, 2024 we will temporarily suspend fundraising while our publisher, webmaster and chief administrator (same guy – works for free) is undergoing treatment for his CLL . Suspending this labor-intensive activity will lighten up our operational commitments and allow us to concentrate our time and effort on maintaining our publishing and educational activities, including this website and Topics Alerts. We will report on the results from our sponsored projects as and when they become available. For an update, please see Topics Alert #269 Thank you for your encouragement and generous support. — The Topics Team |
